my trip with Leukemia takes a different path after today. I am sitting here at Brown Cancer Center waiting on my premeds to arrive and then my final dose of this type of chemo. I have been responding well to the treatment and that is a good thing. But let me explain that today is the best day of the rest of my life. Leukemia is not curable but it is treatable. It will get progressively worse. That may come in very very tiny steps requiring no change in treatment or it may make a dramatic jump. I will be living life 4 months at a time. this is the time between check ups. Life is good and I plan to enjoy each and every day. God is good all the time.
