my yelp review of marianos- as a customer, marianos supplies a friendly and convenient store to do whatever it is u may need. but as an employee, i despise this place. first sitting down for orientation you get the bright shinning face of Andy Dillion explaining to you how this is a great place with unbelievable respect for their employees and endless opportunities to move up in positions. i have now been there for 6 months and i feel ive been putting in way more effort and getting no further respect in return. ive never once seen any of the managers except for Jason give some sort of interest in any employee that isnt a grocery veteran or a young cute girl. Shawn is another one of the store managers, hes the weird looking balding guy with a creepy smile. he has no problem going up to my department, meat/seafood, and telling us what to do when were backed up with a billion customers, but as soon as some cute girls need something from the bakery or some pasta salads from the deli, on go the gloves and out comes creepy ol shawn. he has invited younger female employees out to drinks after work. im gonna stop ranting now. but in the 6 months ive worked here ive dug myself deep into the hole of quality customer service for a business that doesnt deserve half of their great employees. and again id like to say, Jason is an outstanding manager who i hope to see running that place the right way someday
