[myJCR News] - Businessman arrested for allegedly defrauding GIMPA SRC. Personnel of the Commercial Crime Unit of the Police Service have arrested a businessman, Prince Elorm Dor for allegedly defrauding the Students Representative Council (SRC) of GIMPA to the tune of Gh¢45,000. The Executive Director of Dor Consult, based in Accra, entered into a contract with the SRC to produce customized diaries, pens and key holders to be distributed to students early this year but failed to deliver the items after the said money was paid to the company. Following a formal complaints by the SRC at the Police Headquarters Mr. Dor was detained and charged for alleged fraud, when he turned himself in. He claimed in his statement to the Police that he had contracted his Chinese partners to produce the souvenirs but there had been a hitch in the delivery. Credit: myjoyonline #myJCR - Stay Connected!
