myPolice Rockhampton Latest property crime offences on the Capricorn Coast crime offences: 17 – 23 July Tresspass Two alleged offenders have entered the victim’s yard and a third alleged offender has waited in a vehicle at the end of the driveway on Hidden Valley Road, Hidden Valley, between 2.50 pm and 3.00 pm on July 16. The victim has disturbed the offenders, and one of the offenders has allegedly picked up a roofing screw and thrown this at victims’ forehead. The two offenders have decamped in the vehicle with third offender. Nil property was taken during this incident. Unlawful Use of a Motor Vehicle Offender has entered an unlocked vehicle with keys in the ignition on Shaw Avenue, Yeppoon, between 4.45 pm and 5.00pm on July 17, and decamped in the vehicle. The vehicle had a full tank of fuel. Description of vehicle: A 1997 cream / ivory Toyota Landcruiser. Queensland Registration 881HHB. This vehicle is still outstanding. Investigations are continuing into this matter. Police request anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers. Shop Stealing A female alleged offender has entered a pharmacy on James Street, Yeppoon, between 2.10pm and 2.20pm on July 16. Offender has allegedly picked up two items from within the store and exited the store without paying for the goods. Police located the offender and she has been charged in relation to this matter. Stealing Unknown offender/s have stolen a mobile phone from a kitchen bench during a party at a residence on Limestone Creek Road, Adelaide Park, between 9.30pm and 10.40pm on July 17. A gold and white Apple iPhone 5S with a blue charger was stolen during this incident. The victim was working in the outside yard of a hardware store on Tanby Road, Yeppoon, at 12 midday on July 22, when he left his private mobile telephone sitting in the yard with music playing. Victim has left the phone unattended for a short period of time before returning to discover the phone missing. A black Nokia mobile phone was stolen during this incident. Police are seeking an Indigenous female, tall and thin, with shoulder length black hair, wearing a flannelette shirt and long pants to assist in their inquiries. Wilful Damage A male offender was refused service at The Strand Hotel, Normanby Street, Yeppoon, at 11.25pm on July 17, resulting in the offender then picking up a bar stool and throwing it, causing damage to a wall, table and stool. The offender has abused the manager and attempted to fight several persons. As they were leaving the premises, the offender has kicked over a sign and fallen over. Police located the offender and charged him with ‘Wilful Damage’ and ‘Disorderly on Licenced Premises’. Unknown offender/s have thrown a rock through a demountable toilet block window at the Yeppoon Showgrounds, William Street, Yeppoon, between July 1 and July 22. A glass sliding window was damaged during this incident. Police urge all residents to be vigilant with the security of their property. By ensuring homes and vehicles are locked and property secured it will decrease the likelihood of becoming a victim of an opportunist crime. Police encourage members of the public to report any suspicious behaviour.
