#myfirstDNF I am humbled and thank all you for the cheers and prayers! They mean a lot to me. I am sorry that I decided to pull out with 1/3 left in the swim after vomiting 4 times. My motion sickness kicked in as I could not manage the swells. I made the call and I am much better. Disappointed but ok. Guess the discipline of an athlete is still to listen to our body. It is still raining now and the temp is about 15-18 degrees. In fact, it rained throughout the night! Back home and in the races we do in Malaysia or Bintan, we call the heat madness but I learned a new term in Cairns this year - it is calls wetness :) Thank you for all your prayers!God did reduce the swells through the rain. Pray for Sebas and Daniel now....they are pressing on in their own race and journey with God. Continue to pray that they will arise and shine as they make the loop through the hills section at the 105 - 138km mark. Pray that they will have the strength - both mental and spiritual and physical to go all the way! My immediate reflection as a child of God who loves to race is from Galatians 6. In particular verses 2-4 2 Carry one anothers burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ. 3 For if anyone thinks he is something when he is nothing, he deceives himself. 4 Let each one examine his own work. Then he can take pride in himself and not compare himself with someone else. I am keeping warm now with family and friends and applying the 24 hr rule. When Roger Federer loses in a grand slam, life moves on within 24hrs. Shirley asked whether I wanna come back for 240.6 next year. I responded, 70.3 maybe?
