Every year many Escapees attempt to escape North Korea and head to South Korea by means of traveling through China. The friendship between China and North Korea has always created a system of sending Defectors back to North Korea to serve a labor camp sentence or even worse, public Execution. China and North Koreas friendship has deteriorated due to North Koreas nuclear threats of power to its southern neighbor South Korea that is in Military Collaboration with US Forces. This is a huge positive step towards improving friendship between China and South Korea. Hopefully they can continue their safe voyage into South Korea and be free of the oppression that they left in the North.
