no, a man probably would not have been asked that question. Historically, a man worked and a woman took care of the home front, leaving the man the opportunity to concentrate fully on that career. But since that is not the social or economic norm anymore, every working couple should ask THEMSELVES...WHO is going to put a child before their job at any given time? Because I am sorry, folks, kids needs often come first. Who stays home with a sick one, who goes on Field Trips...scout meetings, award ceremonies, soccer games, etc...Who shows up late at work because someone forgot where their homework is and missed the bus? I am not saying it should always be the mom, but a plan needs to be in place so that it does not affect either parents careers. So, Matt, the question I would have asked of any parent in charge of a huge corporation, do you have a plan to work out career/family conflicts?
