I’ve been watching the news this morning about the massive typhoon that has been hitting Japan and the mud slides that are causing death and destruction. The Bible tells us that just before our Savior returns there will be an increase in these disasters. These words are from the song -- Peace In The Midst Of The Storm -- sung by the Heritage Singers. “When the world that Ive been living in collapses at my feet, when my life is shattered and torn; though Im wind-swept, and battered, I can cling to His cross. I’ll find peace in the midst of the storm. There is peace in the midst of my storm tossed life. O there’s an Anchor, there’s a rock to cast my faith upon. Jesus rides in my vessel so I’ll fear no alarm. He gives me peace in the midst of my storm.” And this promise is found in Luke 1:78-79 NIV. “…because of the tender mercy of our God, by which the rising sun will come to us from heaven 79. to shine on those living in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the path of peace.” God’s promises are true. How do I know? because my Savior has told me so. We can find Peace and that Peace is Jesus. We must all lift up those who are in the path of these disasters and claim His promises.
