not all shelter cats have unhappy endings. a lot of their stories - TopicsExpress

not all shelter cats have unhappy endings. a lot of their stories end well. we have to try to educate people about the importance of spaying and neutering pets so they arent breeding unnecessarily, because when there are too many animals and not enough homes, the outcome is tragic. i was an unwanted shelter kitty and would have been put to sleep. my cleft lip kept me from being adopted at adoption events many times. my mom saw me on petfinder and knew she had to help me, they said in my description that i had limited time and no one was interested. my parents drove over 3 hours to get me and then made the drive back home with me. it took me a long time to adjust to my new home too, and i was really scared. i lived a hard life and wasnt sure about humans since no one was really nice to me for so long, but i realized that my parents were going to take care of me and that they loved me, so i started to show them what a sweet kitty i could be and return their love. sometimes adopting a pet from a shelter takes a lot of patience because that pet wont really understand they finally found their furever home at first and you have to work with them so that they realize you are there to make sure they have a good life and everything will be okay.
