not far to the 1 year anniversary of the liquidation of my former employer... still havent seen a red cent of the money they owed me when the crooks decided to walk away from their obligations to the workers that had worked long and hard to give them a comfortable lifestyle for many years... made worse by the fact that they started up a new business within a couple of weeks of closing the old one... Brand Dimensions they call it, in case anyone is interested, though my advice would be to give them a very wide berth as they cannot be trusted... oh and apparently the stress of it all was so much for them that the principal players had to take a holiday to recover from it all... How Nice, of course those who worked for you cant afford to take a holiday after you ripped off their annual and long service leave entitlements, and will not be able to for some time yet to come...but I rather suspect that thought scarcely passed through your minds at all. so having heard nothing regarding the process whereby the former employees had to go cap in hand to the Australian Government to persuade them to cover the debts these sharks owed, I decided to give the FEG (Fair Entitlements Guarantee) office a call... seems they have picked up on the fact that the owners and directors of the company were paying us under a bullshit award that wasnt applicable to the work we actually were doing (done so they could avoid paying proper overtime rates, penalties or leave loadings) and are in the process of recalculating the figures, they would not tell me if legal action would be taken against the former owners as a result of this fraud... but did say that it was a possibility... Hmmm seems you guys might need to take another holiday before too long.
