oculus rift and omni treadmill have a ton of potentional in the virtual reality business, however i think a pair of sensory sleeves would actually be a better development than the omni treadmill, just for the fact that sleeves wouldnt take up a ton of space, and it would allow people who have ailments that prevent them from walking or running at all or for extended periods of time. i mean the tech exists, and it doesnt need to be a full body suit, just a pair of sleeve with sensory units that recalc the position of your arm in relation to a sensor positioned across from you. this sounds a lot like the wii and xbox kinect but what differs is its not a sensory unit trying to absorb all its info through visual link, it would be able to process your position from the sleeves, removing the errors controlers have of moving it too fast or not pointing at the sensor. then from there it would just take simple programs to right what movements correlate to the movements in the game.
