THOUGHT FOR THE DAY God will one day judge the judges. MINI BIBLE STUDY FOR THE DAY It seems doubtful that the judges and legislators who make the laws of our land understand that they will one day answer to a righteous judge for the work that they do. But they will—every knee will bow. so that at the name of Jesus EVERY KNEE WILL BOW, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth —Philippians 2:10 And God expects that the laws we live under will not only be fair but will protect the helpless and the weak among us. In Isaiahs time, just like today, the unrighteous designed the laws: So as to deprive the needy of justice, and rob the poor of My people of their rights, in order that widows may be their spoil, and that they may plunder the orphans. —Isaiah 10:2 And the warning to that days politicians is severe: Now what will you do in the day of punishment, and in the devastation which will come from afar? To whom will you flee for help? And where will you leave your wealth? —Isaiah 10:3 Pray for our leaders to enact God-centered laws! compass.org
