......off work now for a few days as got bad conjuncticivitis.......probably caused by an incident at work yesterday....... a ventilated patient with a bad chest infection woke agitated and tried to pull the endo-tracheal tube out of his throat.......as I intervened, the ventliation tubing came apart and I got covered in spray and droplets - straight in the face !!!!!.......started to swell as I got home last night but when I woke this morning I couldnt open my left eye at all.......saw the on-call GP and commenced on fusidic acid.......but means I cant work now for 3 days........Nigel on his way home from his 2 day show in Grantham and tells me that besides boiling to death for 2 days - it has been a roaring success !!!!!!!
