often we put a place marker at love, affection and the gracious paint of an angels favorite makeup, from teenagehood. we forget the raw honest spank of self realization, and begin to call it pages of a magazine. we meet our hormones like the sky pours a blossom from the depth of hidden places. but that is the mistake of the gorgeous. if we look as though we are only beautiful when we don a gown like we dance at galas like the sunsets, lit with the tantrum, secret storms of beauty, we forget the sacred smile hidden in the cedar drawer of our grandparents, her raven curls and lipstick, her seashell necklace and his fine fijian shorts. finding eachothers smile painted accross the plains of generation. we miss the slip of first seeings, of great clay molding the whole earth with layers of distinction reserved for footsteps of creator himself. we think that beauty comes and goes and we lament before we realize the depths of our own heart, are strung like the heavens upon the smile of a beauty too profound to mention. what will you do if youre in an accident, and have to learn to have compassion for all kinds of changes and loss before anyone can relate with what you have discovered of grace? what if your smile is faded by a teenager sitting there contemplating kindness, or a young parent learning how much space can fit into their new childs handholding eyes. or the moment you find last words with a beloved and your hand finally finds there chest, to the fount of the springs of holy waters, clear as the day you learned how deep the source of love. when you found a word to say of beauty, real beauty, did you lose yourself? what did you find? have you thought to look with the eyes that do not steal a glance but bear it open? that is the surface. just the beginning. dont be shy, to play, discover, dance, and feel the beauty of being, but if you do not see it upon another, it is always our own veil. and never forget that cinderella !
