oh, Tufts. Its funny how whenever critical discussion surrounding issues of race, wealth, and privilege come up, those that support and lead the dialogue are deemed divisive and combative and those that support the continued marginalization of these voices are deemed transparent and standing up for inclusivity. This is disturbing and symptomatic of a Tufts that clings to archaic paradigms of us versus them even when opposing sides agree on so much and respect one another with decency and compassion. Yo GC, Im forever down to take a walk down Pro Row and talk about reality rather than hiding behind a computer screen and perpetuating miseducation. Real inclusivity is saying what you believe regardless of whether or not it makes some people uncomfortable. Discomfort exists for a reason. Question why some words make you cringe and why some ideas, when interrogated, leave you feeling vulnerable. Check your privilege and acknowledge the fact that one of the greatest privileges of having privilege is to make the conscious choice to recognize it or not. Not everyone has this privilege and not all people are welcomed into every space or into every discussion. I want a TCU President that understands this and (DESPITE BEING SUPERHUMAN) remains MORE human than politician and I encourage you to aim for the same! VOTE Núñez Now because divisive politics does nothing to create a better Tufts for all of us! :)
