oh no, I just found out John Abernathy passed away. (Thanks Sally Ashe Barnard). If you were ever at the library, you knew John. He had a hobby of buying books, and he only had a tiny living space in his two story house because of the books. I was the only one he would ever let in and take pictures of it, and I have an incredible story of John and his eccentric life. I missed him when he went to live with his brother, and I will always kind of miss looking for him at the library. Karen Kerr-McGraw and Mary Lou Morrison Addington, he took us all out to lunch one day. Before lunch, he let us go through his SECOND two story house, that was full of books, and let us take whatever we wanted. That means he had 2 two story houses, that were completely filled with books. It really is kind of hard to believe. REST IN PEACE, my friend!
