oh the hardest part of feeding the people is when you meet some one and really connect with that person,like tonight,I talked with a 36yr old man at length,he had some signs of mental illness,then he went about describing exactly what that was to him,he had anxiety,and he said he had trouble slowing his thoughts down,he could not focus on anything long enough to process it,even when I spoke to him,he said he had trouble listening,because his thoughts were racing,he was not high,and told me that this was his struggle all his life,and that he had been a carpenter at one time,and owned a home,with a wife,all that,he was so terribly alone,he had a sleeping bag,and a scruffy beard,filthy close,and had not bathed in a while,my heart just broke as he explained his struggle,because unlike me,he is not an addict,he just does not fit into societys norms,I really have a hard time leaving people like that,I just pray to god,show me how I can help him,it is difficult for me to just leave them to the cruelty of life,when all he needs,is some one to care enough to provide the means for him to get his own shit together,he falls through the cracks,and that a lonely place to be,because in my world no one gets left behind!
