Wednesday November 27, 2013 - President Uhuru Kenyatta is alleged to have bribed Independent Electoral Boundaries Commission (IEBC) top officials, with a cool Sh114 million in order to deny Former Prime Minister, Raila Odinga, victory during the March 4th election. According to our ODM sources, Uhuru paid IEBC Chairman, Issack Hassan, CEO, James Oswago, and former Chief of Registrar of the Judiciary, Gladys Boss Shollei, the lump sum using a secret account in Equity Bank. The revelations came as Uhuru’s party, TNA, commissioned an internal audit of its accounts after the last elections after allegations that over Sh 114 million was missing. An audit report by Orwa and Company Auditors revealed that Sh114 million that was at TNA’s Equity Bank account, could have been transferred to three individual accounts in different Swiss banks and EFT (Swift) sheets were available. The account was exclusively operated by Uhuru’s close associates. One of the auditors who spoke to us said, according to Swift Transfer Details, the Sh 114m was sent to three foreign accounts which are thought to belong to Oswago, Hassan and Shollei. The Equity account is said to have been managed by Winnie Guchu, who worked for IEBC and is reported to have worked closely with Uhuru’s campaign team.
