Francis back to the virtual computing I am going to give a rough estimate based on the following: >15 Ministries >100 computers in each ministry >computers at 250 watts connected 220v (with no transformer, there is a >loss with transformer usage) >Computers on for 9 hours a day >fuel surcharge 0.89 so 250/1000*9*0.89 so for the usage of one computer for 9 hours daily is about $2 15 ministries with 100 computer =1500 computers = $3000 1 month at 20 days =$60,0000 12 months a year = $720, 0000 now the virtual terminal max consumption is 5 watts 250/5 =50 so 720,000 / 50 =$14,400 720,000 - 14,400 = $705,600 so there can be an estimated savings of $705,600 a year but the fuel surcharge rate is different after 180kwh also some computers consume more or less than 250 watts and some ministries are responsible for more than 100 computers but I hope this gets the point across.
