ok, Ive got a real problem, and we need some parenting advice! My daughter is 8 years old and is going through what I hope is a phase. She is lying. About big things and little things. We can watch her do something and then totally say she didnt do it. She will lie point blank in your face and smirk at you. We have grounded her, spanked her, taken toys, games, books away from her. Right now she literally has only a bed ( we took away her hello kitty bed set and gave her the crap bed sheets out of the closet), and her dresser. We thought that would make her see. Yesterday, Erics phone was missing. WE looked everywhere!! Asked our son if he saw it (hes 4) nope, we looked in bedrooms, in and under furniture, EVERYWHERE. I figured wed find it later, So I cleaned the kitchen and the bar. When she got home from school, we were in the back of the house and when we noticed she was home we asked her if she had seen the phone. At first she said no, then she said, oh yeah, I saw it when I got home on the bar. Ok, sure, like we didnt look there, or I just didnt clean it off. Sure enough it was there, with a bunch of kid apps on it. We called her on it about taking it to school and she still was like NO she didnt. We are at our wits end! Now I know that I lied to my parents too. But I was a teenager trying to get away with going out, partying and such. Shes 8!! What do I do? We need help!!!
