ok, NOT trying to start a religious firestorm debate....but, as I was doing my devotion this morning, my heart was troubled. It was a man talking about going in and finding his 13 yr old daughter crying....because she realized that when she was 8...and walked the aisle at church to be saved that she wasnt truly saved. Now I know, as children, they can sometimes do things without fully understanding what they are doing. BUT, can we agree that God does the saving??? If so, if that little child went down the aisle to simply as Jesus into his/her heart....is this author saying God didnt really do it? Or is he implying that the child didnt get truly saved because its US who is in control of that? I believe, its simple....if you confess with your mouth and believe with your heart, you will be saved. Maybe we dont know all the ins and outs of it when we get saved at a young age....but, God knows....and his grace covers us through our ins and outs with Him.
