ok call me what you like....this one made me tear up. mainly because i have been there. there is no greater gift you can give than simple human kindness. i have been that person that someone helped. while i dont claim to be the best person. i have sometimes been harsh and even cold. i do try to be as good a man as i can be. to treat others like i would like to be treated. i always feel the best when helping someone. whether it be a simple sharing of a meal together or a shoulder to cry on. i do this not for the recognition or praise, i have never cared about that and often it makes me uncomfortable anyway, but for the nice feeling i get when i know i made a persons life a little better, even if only for a short time. humanity has forgotten what it truly means to be a good person. we mistake trinkets and baubles and status as signs of how good and important you are. let me tell you, none of that matters in the end and should never matter to the ppl who call themselves your friends. what does matter to a child is when his mom or dad kisses a hurt better. so why should that change when we get older? why would we think that the simple act of listening, or an act of kindness like saying thankyou or holding a door for someone not matter? the truth is, it does. an honest compliment, with no lecherous intent, can make a womans whole day. praise from a boss for a job well done can make that employee feel like they matter to the company. a simple wave when someone lets you in when trying to merge can make a person feel like they did a good thing. most acts of kindness cost you nothing but a small amount of your time. after all, does it really hurt you to be kind? have a great day ppl and enjoy this video.
