ok folx, i feel like its time ta get up on my soapbox agin: i wuz sittin on the ground o/side the MITS depot on high & main w/ my laptop plugged in to an o/side socket in the wall of the building takin advantage of the guest unsecured free wifi for a coupla hrs; the same place i sat on christmas day & was left alone - probly cuz there werent no buses runnin. i sat there fer a coupla hrs, mindin my own biz, workin on my laptop, then a coupla uniformed MITS employees approached me & asked if i wuz waitin a bus. when i replied in the negative, they kindly told me that they were sorry, but they couldnt allow me to sit there all day - so i packed up & got ready to leave. i had an urgent need for a restroom, so i walked inside the depot to use a restroom, only to find signs stating that there were no public restrooms in that facility; man, what is this world coming to when a transient cant even find a restroom to use in a facility that basically caters to transients? folx, i love animals - i really do, but, in my own personal worldview, the basic rights & needs of humans should come first..... i think its truly a very sad state of affairs when i have ta walk all over a strange city ta find a place ta relieve myself in a time of urgent need while yall walk yalls pets all over town & freely let them piss & shit wherever they want; & many of u dont even bother to clean up after them even though there r city ordinances threatening stiff fines if u fail to do so.... by god, if im able to find a halfway secluded spot ta unzip & let loose, hopin & prayin an officer of the law dont catch me in the act - & heaven forbid if i gotta drop my drawers & squat - all of a sudden in the twinklin of an eye - im facin indecent exposure &/or worse charges just for taking care of some very basic physical needs. is it just me, or does any1 else see anythin wrong w/ that picture? Martin Luther King Jr & Medgar Evers gave their lives fightin for the rights of ALL American citizens to have equal access to PUBLIC services & businesses - whats it gonna take for ALL American citizens to gain the right to relieve themselves w/ dignity in ALL PUBLIC restrooms - just cuz im broke & homeless i caint soil your toilet in your restroom in your business that caters to the public? i swear ta god, yall business owners w/ signs that u have no public restrooms in your public businesses - yall best be glad that im lettin my higher power run this show - cuz im about one piss or one shit away from just lettin loose right in the middle of yer PUBLIC entrance w/out his guidance...... damn the consequences....
