ok..here we go. in this picture use the P in photo courtesy of as 12 noon look across the water couple feet above the water line in the rock.. you can see the rock bulging upwards in a curve. now look at the bottom of the curve right by the water ..there is a line of rock that is moving from the left to the right that is harder than the limestone...that line is subducting and is your fault line. One plate is pushing under another and that subducting rock is actually headed down to be recycled into the mantle of the earth... ( dont worry...it takes a while) Limestone is fairly soft so it breaks easily . you can see where the rock is breaking up and falling into the pond. Your quakes are this rock finally pushing thru what ever was stopping it if it were granite under granite.. ( hard igneous rock pushing on hard igneous rock) it would build pressure for centuries then POP into a 7.5 quake. This fault will probably settle down in a few days and may move a bit more but because of the limestone yall live on down there you are pretty safe from big damaging quakes. ground is still moving.. probably going to notice some stuff move. Probably nobody is hurt cept from hysteria... go to church early because seating will be limited... BTW...big churches with lots of roof and not much wall...bad place to be in an earthquake. bathroom... lots of wall per sq ft of ceiling...good place to be
