ok so based on recent observations it appears that there are many people who do not believe in big ideas--ideas that can transform society for the better. Ideas such as gender equality or a nationally fair language policies. Many people think these are too grandiose--impossible to accomplish. I hear things like thats not possible, it requires that too many people change thier beliefs, values.. thats not possible--you can please some of the people all the time and all the people some of the time but you cant please all the people all the time. There was a time when people thought the world was flat (i know there are some who still believe that) and that the sun revolved around the earth. There was a time when people owned slaves and there was a time when people thought is was okay to treat Blacks as lower life forms. During these times there were people like Plato and Martin Luther King and William Lloyd Garrison who fought agains the norm with thier big, grandiose, ideas and today we reap the benefits of these peoples sacrifices they made to make our world a better place--its not perfect and we still have a way to go but without the continuation of big, grandiose, ideas we will never get there. So please keep thinking big because With God all things are possible.(Mat. 19:26)
