ok, this is crazy!! when i moved to new jersey in 1980, i was driving limousines for another company for a few years before i started my own service. i drove for a company that had the resorts hotel casino contract , once they got to know me, i began to start driving all of the celebrities that came to perform or just visit the hotel. i actually started an autograph book and here are some of the names that i drove, (depending on how they were feeling , i would ask for an autograph, some i was just told, dont say anything to them!! lol Liza minelli, foster Brooks, Tony Bennett, Suzanne Somers, Bob Eubanks, Englebert Humperdinck Joe Namath, Clint Holmes, Diana Ross, Ben Vareen,Joey Bishop, Danny Thomas, Joan Rivers, Johnny Mathis, Christopher Reeves, Kevin Dobson, Angelo Dundee, Wayne Newton, Frankie Valli and the four seasons, Tom Jones, (funny story, picked tom jones up at phila airport, came over bridge to 42 towards ac, back then we drove 6 passenger cadillac limos with no tint in the rear. tom jones leaned his head back to go to sleep and i hear this huge train like air horn blasting away! woke tom jones right up and there is rob turner blowing his tractor trailer horn at me!! funny as hell, tom said, you know him? i said yes! he is a hometown boy!!!) Nancy Sinatra , OF COURSE, THE MAN, FRANK SINATRA, Dean Martin, ok, i had frank and dean in the car AT THE SAME TIME!!! yes, when they started talking to eachother in the limo, i was like no shit, this is not happening!!! Charlie Callas, Barry Manilow Cher, Brian Wilson, Joe Dimaggio, Rick Barry, Brooke Shields, Mickey Mantle, Sparky lyle, Brooks Robinson, Martin Sheen, Faye Dunaway!! Came out of the lincoln tunnel in the pouring rain with Faye sitting right behind me in the jump seat of the limo. Talking away, she was concerned about the rain, me, infatuated as hell!! lol coming down the turnpike to hit garden state parkway south, varrrooom!! right past it!! i was scared, only 20 some years old, didnt want to tell her i missed exit!!, followed those dumbass jersey shore signs and got to resorts in 4 hours!! normally 2 1/2 to 3 hours lol. she got out of the car and said john, i want you to take me home on sunday!! i replied, no problem ms. dunaway, it will be a shorter ride home, the rain really slowed us up coming in!! Lou Rawls, johnny Carson, Stephen King, Walter Payton, and Talia Shire! ROCKAAAYYYY! ok, the reason for this rant is, i left out two names, Freddie Roman and Stewie Stone. these two men sometimes headlined or opened for the stars that were performing. PEOPLE, WE HAVE TWO LIMO REQUESTS FOR THIS WEEKEND TO PICK UP, fREDDIE ROMAN AND STEWIE STONE!!! YES, THE SAME GUYS SOME 33 YEARS LATER!!!!! OMG!!!
