okay.. Im all about the circle of life, and nature taking its course, but I have to share this afternoons story.. We were outside working in the garden ( and by we I mean the guys were working and I was sitting on my butt taking pictures of them working... Its a hard life I live :) ) there were 3 cardinals in the neighbors yard throwing up all kinds of fuss.. a female and 2 males.. Gavin said I think its like a mating thing or something Mom and I say no.. something is wrong JF, ever my hero walks over and hollars back for Gavin to bring him a bucket and shovel. Im nosy.. I walk over... there is a huge .. HUGE black snake trying to get to a baby cardinal who has tried to fly for the first time and face planted onto the ground. I am a strong woman... I can do a lot of things... All I can think is this mother, without her baby anymore and that does things to me... I cant handle losing babies. Yes, its a bird, yes circle of life.. I told you already, my rational mind knew all of this... JF was going to take the snake into the woods and let it go.. then it struck at him and he killed it... and all I could do was thank him for saving the baby. Gavin put it back into its nest, Momma and Daddy bird proceeded to fuss (or thank) us and all was right with my heart again. Damn Im a mush sometimes... .Im blaming the meds :) anyway.. JF and G are my heroes today.. and Im pretty sure they are the cardinals too
