okay, Im almost done cleaning up my facebook page. this is the last thing I have to delete. this was dated at October 13. I think I became interested in what was going on over there about 3 weeks before this. I hope it caught your interest, too! on the news or what have you. there isnt much we can do, you know? its in the hands of the politicians. I became painfully aware how small my voice is, and how little impact I have on the world because of this. nonetheless, it felt good to care for a few months... and, man, did I care. ... many of us do vote! so if the Kurds in the middle east come up in our elections in the future, give them a little attention, maybe let it have an impact on your decisions. as a whole, theyre a GOOD people. theyve had a hard time of it. Im happy the world is finally giving them the attention they deserve. 90% of the Kurds are Muslim in the middle east. theyre moderate and tolerant in their governance and beliefs (life under the Kurds is GOOD, for everybody), and they like the United States.... meaning, they dont want to kill us. thats good, right? :p anyhow, I was here, for a second, in my own small way. go, Kurds! you are COOL... and, god, were so sorry. its heartbreaking, and lets just hope it gets better for them. whatever comes their way, whether it be in Turkey (Northern Kurdistan), Iraq (Southern Kurdistan), Iran (Eastern Kurdistan), or Syria (Western Kurdistan)... theyre not cowards. you try dealing with some of the shit they deal with. you think youre having a bad day? NO, youre NOT. theyre damn strong people and durable. theyll face it with dignity and will continue. thats what it means to be a Kurd.... theyre awesome. :)
