okay , i know its a secret ballot , but iam going to be wholeheartedly , unequivocally and definitely going to vote for modi and bjp in this election . i am sick and tired of listening to some ignorant idiots who have suddenly discovered two new words in english language , namely secular and fascist , without having a clue to what they mean . ( and believe me , i have pleaded with them and asked , including to some of my friends in bollywood who sign some stupid petitions , and they had no clue . it sounds nice and popular so they say these words . ) secular state , as i understand , means a state not governed by any religion .and allowing all religions to co exist equally without restrictions . many countries like the u.s. , u.k. ,australia or most of west and others in the world , are proudly christian countries but allow , tolerate and let you practice any religion you wish to . unlike some middle eastern countries which are islamic and dont allow practice of other religions in the open .so thats the world . now , how is modi or bjp non secular ? . are other religions prevented from doing what they want to in any of the bjp ruled states ? no . i have been visiting gujarat on a monthly basis from 1980 to mid nineties for amul , and every alternate month there used to be hindu muslim riots which used to force me to take detours to reach the station or the airport . it was ruled by congress then . so modi hasnt newly discovered or invented riots there . now , if as a c.m . he didnt control riots for 36 hours and thats what makes him non secular , then rajiv gandhi in 1983 , not only didnt control massacre of innocent sikhs in delhi , but also smugly justified them by saying when a big tree falls , the earth shakes . was he secular ? what about riots that went uncontrolled in mumbai and assam under congress governments ? and if a politician for a photo op wears a skul cap or a cross , that makes him secular ? and if he wears saffron or rudraksh , does that make him a fanatic hindu ? read guys , and educate yourselves , before you freely toss about words like secular in your arguments . vote for modi , his agenda is education , you guys may benefit from that .
