okay, im making a stand and you can either agree with me or feel my wrath on this white poppy debate. the traditional red poppy is being attacked from people with a different political agenda,this isnt the time or place to push a peace movement, its a time honoured tradition to remember the sacrifices of our current and past members of canadas military,yes peace would be nice, but red poppys arent promoting war, they are recognizing the sacrifices of our brave men AND women, some of whom paid the ultimate sacrifice and others who are prepared to. to promote the white poppy now, is a direct slap in the face to all members of the armed forces, whether active or vetran, who answered the call of duty for our country, so you and i can enjoy the freedoms we experience to this day. dont get me wrong, i think peace is a wonderful goal to work towards, but there are better ways AND better days to promote your agenda of peace without tainting the celebration of remembrance . please take time on monday to reflect on the past, that the sacrifices they made will one day lead us to the peace that we ALL seek
