okay people, i recommend that u should check out the film,west of memphis. its about the west memphis 3, 3 young men falsely accused of murdering 3 young children and sentenced to life in prison, except damien was on death row. they were not convicted due to evidence tying them to the murders, because there wasnt any at all tying them to it, it was because they were different, listened to metal, wore black clothes. after watching the movie, it really makes u think that the justice system doesnt give u the right to a fair trial that many of us thinks it does, especially in west memphis arkansas.they did finally get released after spending 18 yrs in prison but not the way u think. they basically made a deal, called a alford plea, which is extremely rare, where even though they can maintain their innocent, in order to get released they had to plea guilty to the crime , even though evidence suggested otherwise. so in the end they got their freedom but had to pay another price for it.its sad that they had to go to prison over lack of evidence and prejuidice towards them. the evidence points to one of the stepfathers that committed the crime but to this day, he still roams free.
