okay, so I feel like a great big cheat because I am always just reposting other peoples great pictures and words of wisdom and do nothing original. So at least I will post what I think is my own recipe -- of course it to might be an adaptation of something I have seen or eaten (and I just dont remember). I call it Really Good Grilled Salmon Ingredients: 1/4 Real Maple Syrup (my sister gave me some great stuff her friend makes in northern Wisconsin -- well I guess the trees actually make it and her friend taps it); 2 cloves minced garlic; 4 tablespoons sesame oil; 1/2 teaspoon to 1 teaspoon freshly grated ginger (I use the jarred stuff); 2 teaspoons low sodium soy sauce); 1 to 2 teaspoons red pepper flakes; and 2 pounds salmon filet (cut in 4 even pieces, wash it but leave skin on). Preparation: Wisk all ingredients together except salmon in glass or ceramic bowl. Place salmon in the bowl and turn over. Then let marinate 2 to 4 hours. Then broil on grill (with or without a cedar plank) or in the oven. I generally do 5 minutes per side. I like the marinade so much I usually double the amount and boil about half of it on the stove in a small pan for a sauce. Serve with wild rice and/or maybe corn on the cob and a green veggie. [If you are grilling, grilled asparagus or brussel sprouts are wonderful).
