okay so a really incredible thing just happened and even if it comes across as attention seeking i just have to share it i came out from seeing a movie when i heard someone say a name. i took a second look and as it turned out, it was my favourite nurse from the mental health ward that i was admitted to about 10 months ago now. she and the social worker from the ward were actually taking some of the current people out on leave and after answering their questions about how i am, i was able to tell the current patients how proud i was of them for still being here, how important it is to stay alive, and that i know first hand to keep going because things actually do eventually get better and things like that. there was so much more i wanted to say, but i was shaking and trying really hard not to cry because remembering what it was like and knowing what those people were going through upset me a lot. they thanked me and some of them hugged me and as i left in my state of shock, seeing those people now inspired me, made me realise how far ive come and i hope they all find some sort of strength, even if it was just from that, to help get them through whatever they were going through because i really felt like just those simple words of encouragement could have been enough to help some of them or any of you, even just a little bit :~)
