okay so with just over a week to go we are going to post some basic road etiquette and tips for race day, please add to the list if there is anything you can think of :) 1. warm up tops/plastic bags/blankets - discard them to the closest verge, dont throw them on the road , someone can slip and it may cost them their race. 2. same goes for cups, water sachets, banana peels etc, throw to verges not on the road, it can get slippery and people can get hurt. 3. I know we can hawk and spit now and again as we get phlegm stuck in our throats - go to side of road and do it, dont spit on other runners or into their path, its gross and makes the road surface slippery too!
