on November 19th we posted a request for 6 people to help rescue wild animals on Friday morning November 22nd 2013. The veteran volunteers of TeamCARE (Team Curacao Animal Rescue & Education) were not able to attend, so in this manner we hoped to recruit new people. Finally two people volunteered, received a crash course in animal rescue, and then assisted on Friday morning at 5:45 AM with the safe passage to the sea of Curacao of a very rare sea turtle species that crawled out of their eggs and out to sea. Then afterwards the new recruits assisted with the capture of young owls that were discovered in a shack. The problem was that the shack needed to be bulldozer-ed so TeamCARE was called to remove them and take them to safety. Marcus has a minor injury, so he needed assistance to get all of this done. TeamCARE is grateful thankful that two people took the time to assist when we were shorthanded.
