on.rt/mn6hjy My comments are two-fold: 1. How a Professional Journalist should present a story. 2. Dont Be general with the direction you are writing the article. I think its time we take all the Pork out of the Military Budget, re-allocate the funds to shoring up the Current and Real threat to America, here is one clear example. We are certainly throwing some innocent people under the bus while letting real terrorists, steal commercial aircraft for reasons unknown at the present times as well as hi jacking the lives of multi-national innocent people. I try to separate fact from my personal opinion! Its a Nebraska Thing! With that in mind looking at the world and U.S. News through just the facts on a news story; i.e Walter Cronkite, Tom Brokaw, Anderson Cooper, as well as two journalists that bucked the people and corporations behind funding and sponsorship of their news presented! Dan Rather reported against the president(The Presidents Office forced Dan out of a job with CBS) Keith Obberman who actually spoke out against MSNBCs President, was ousted by the network. MSNBC at the time was owned by GE, one of the largest US Corporations famous for not paying Income Taxes and offshoring gargantuan profits. My Opinion: 1 Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel (R) Nebraska, is a man of honesty and integrity, we need to listen more to his views of US Defense. 2. The Old Guard McConnell, Boehner,Cruz, the new right guard following them like Ryan, Corker (Mr Pro Payday Loans) need to be deodorized in the next time they are up for election and replaced by new people, different priorities, that strive for the people, not for the Corporations 3. On the front page of the Los Angeles Times (March 16,2014) an article entitled Putin May Pay Dearly for Crimea by Paul Richter is a clear example of the way that story should have been presented. When you see the general words May, Analysts Say which analysts? what are their qualifications, who do they work for? How are they funded? I was taught this in the Journalism Dept.at The University of Omaha (now University of Nebraska at Omaha.
