once there was a bulkey donkey one day his mastar took him to the town and loaded him with four or five bags of salt while returning they had to cross acanal and there was no bridge over it when thay were walking through the water the donkey slipped and fell down beforegetting up largquantit of salt had been dis solved in the water thus the load became lighter and the donkey was very much pleased the foolish creatur made up its mind to lie down in the water for som tim every day to lesson the weight of the load after som day the cunning mastar loaded the donkey with som bags of cotton while crossing the canal the donkey as usual fell into the water and lay there for som tim but that tim the foolish animal was dis appointed when the cotton was wet the load became heavir and the donkey had to use his utmost effort tocarry it home froom that day onward the donkey did not slip in the cannal
