one of my favorite things about my august 16th birthday was that i share it with madonna (imagine being 10 years old with that one...). then in 2008, this cute boy came to my venice birthday party with a mutual friend, who then insisted i let him work for me. by my next birthday at m bar, 2009, i like the way he is looking at me. by august 16th 2012, he gave me my favorite marzipan cake and we ate the leftovers after the edendale grill party, near our first apartment together. last year on my birthday, we were married in the front yard of our new house, atwater village. todays birthday-- post-surgery, lying on the couch, summer night breeze, pain meds, brie and wine, and first anniversary william: its better than madonna, hands down. (the --with here needs be all our best friends, who were cumulatively at all of these days).
