He noticed the sticky-fingered bandit hadn’t taken anything of major value, and, to the bandit’s good fortune, saved his life from the outraged Jace Crawford for Jace had accounted all 10 beers that dwell beside his bed behind his nightstand. After he furiously flung his backpack beside his desk, he sluggishly made his way to his bed. Jace stared into nothingness for eternity, anger and sorrow raging in his eyes, before he reached down and popped the cap off a beer bottle. In a matter of minutes he had gulped down three beers as tears fell. In a slightly buzzed, blurry haze, he checked the time from his phone, 6 o’clock. He pulled himself together for the ceremony that honored his best friend. He kept his black skinny jeans on, but had squeezed himself into a silk, ash grey button down shirt—it was so tight it formed to his every muscle, emphasizing his six-pack abs and large, firm biceps—and a navy blue blazer.
