ordering breakfast from an iPad. Not the best service. When my (extremely expensive) coffee arrived, the milk was curdled. So I informed the young lady who simply said: so.... you want to replace it? - Of course I want to replace it! - the appropriate response was Im sorry sir, Ill get you a fresh one right away! What has happened to service in America? I remember coming here in the late 1970s and being stunned at the wonderful service I received everywhere: from the lowest diner to the most up-market restaurant in downtown Manhattan. Now I pay through the nose to be sneered at?
