our national infrastructure is a disgrace..the issue has been totally overlooked because of the fear of raising revenues....because of the mantra that taxes have to be cut further..does anyone realize that when ike was president marginal rates were 90% and that was when the interstate highway system was first built..does anyone understand that the notion that grover norquist subscribes to starve the government means that we totally compromise the underbelly of our nation, its roads bridges, tunnels etc...tax rates are the lowest in history and yet there are those who want to cut further...we need tax reform, closing loopholes, making social security solvent into the future and we need not to be stuck on the idea that whatever we do has to be revenue neutral
