out le monde! Tout va bien avec vous cette semaine dernier? Il y a beacoup de bonne choses que je veux parteger avec vous de semaine dernier ! First of all, the weather has been a little bit unstable lately and it is either super hot or super cold and rainy… but still the work did never get distracted though there were a lot of changes and big events last week. So it could be one of the weirdest and the most special experiences that I have ever had in my life is this: Recontacted an old investigator recently to try to meet him again, but unfortunately the guy said he doesn’t have time and he can’t. A few minutes later he called us back and gave us a referral and told us to call him immediately. So we called the referral up and he was willing to meet us in two days. We had been actually very excited to see this guy until the very day we went to this meeting point. I talked to Elder Dagenais and said, “he looks really familiar”, and as we approached closer to him, with very surprised voice we both said, “he is the Chinese Jehova Witnesses we saw about 2 months ago!” Apparently we saw this JW missionary contacting on the street before and he saw us too. He was with his another companion and they were very happy to see us. So apparently another fact is that the old investigator was taught by the JW and us separately before, so the JW invited him to come to the appointment as well. We didn’t know what to do and it was very weird. After a short conversation, we all decided to go to a park to have a discussion. We ended up teaching the investigator with the two JWs about prayer and the nature of God. It was very weird but we didn’t have any arguments at all even though they were trying to start one. One thing that really helped us to get through the time was the unity and how prepared we were. I am grateful for my companion’s experience because he has talked to JWs before but I have never. At the same time, I witnessed that there are so many great and nice people trying to find and teach about the truth of life, but, without the priesthood and constant revelation from God through the prophets, they can teach only partial truth. We also saw great miracles through the visit of Brother Mitt Romney. It was a very unique and amazing experience to see him that closely and to hear him talk about the true measurement of success in life. Talked about how it is by chance to achieve the worldly success like having much more wealth, power, and fame in a career and in material things than others. However, the success is in your control when you are using what you have, despite any kind of circumstances, to serve others, which is measured by the gospel of Jesus Christ. Most importantly, this event attracted a lot of people came including this old, inactive member and we were able to talk to him and we might see him this weekend! We also found a new family investigator through the activity! I know this is His work and we are so glad to be able to serve in Paris for every kind of nation. Have a great week!
