over the past 5 years in Utah youve been more likely to be killed by police officers than by gang members, drug dealers, or child abusers. Though I do know a very nice police officer in Utah and so can attest that theyre not out for blood or anything, and thankfully the 2 largest cities in utah have independent review boards for every shooting, but itd be nice if the rest of the state got independent review and/or body cameras (that actually get turned on, Saratoga Springs) to at least give transparent records of what happens during violent incidents with police. This professor also says a lot of important things about the pattern of training that would be nice to train, keeping non-violent and non-lethal trainings up to date at the same rate as lethal trainings. sltrib/news/1842489-155/killings-by-utah-police-outpacing-gang
