#perfectlove 1 John 4: 18 “There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love.” How do we define perfect love? Is perfect love the ability to never be mad? Is perfect love in the ability to never make someone mad or never disappoint and let down an individual? The definition to perfect love is Jesus Christ. Jesus is the only true definition of perfect love in our lives. He loves you in the reflection of God and He is not subject to our human limitations. We view love as an emotion but love is a decision. We make decisions to love people in our lives to the best of our ability in life but the emotion of love fades and hurt can come into our relationships. Love comes down to a commitment we made to them and sometimes the commitment breaks. When a commitment of love breaks down it is because of human limitations that we are subject to in our lives. If we are hurt it damages our love and if we are betrayed it leads to other emotions that taint our ability to love that person. Human relationships are subject to human limitations. The Bible tells us that God is perfect love and in Christ we see the Father’s perfect love to us. God’s love is beyond all human limitations and it cannot be broken, and we cannot be separated from it. If we get mad at God He will not remove His love. If we fail God He will not remove His love from us. If we hide from Him in our shame He will wait until we are ready to show our face to Him. It is perfect in every way because He is beyond our boundaries to love. When we let down our guard and let Him love us, we are healed from the wounds of the limitations of early love. If you have been hurt by someone you loved; receive God’s perfect love and it will erase your hurt. There is no judgment in the Lord and He will never condemn you for your mistakes. You are not a failure; you are the reason why the sun and moon exist. When your hurt is gone and you can receive unconditional love; then you can love someone without limitations. When we taste perfect love we then can reflect love without limits in our lives. God loves you so much He sent His only Son just for you. Receive His perfect love today, so you can love someone in the reflection of His great love.
