phoenix. rhythm room: was some rhythm laid down as well as some nasty guitar licks mostly provided by the baddassyest guitar roots rock maestro around..gurf morlix who set in ..just a high ol time with an audience i wish i could take to ever gig i play from now on (as long i dont have to cover their bar tab). i asked gurf one time what kind of name is gurf morlix..he said, viking d.l. and matt did the opening slot and and were great and im not just saying that cause they got a record coming out and maybe they can return the favor and lemme open for them when they big hot shot touring country rock stars. up to winslow az tonite for gurfstock.. lemme back up bout the rhythm room..great sound and crowd and i really enjoyed it..cept back stage green room. wha? how can you say that, ray..or write it rather..i mean they provided cokes, water, deli trey, bananas, peanut butter, humus, chips, tea, chairs, a mirror, a table and the walls were actually green..what bummed you out? well, heres what if you really wanna know..they had a poster of bob schneider on the wall and i guess some band that had played there once had drawn a beard on him and..wait..i just remembered..he does have a beard..never mind.. anyhow we having a good time in arizona. yours truly, rwh
