"photography" Photography draws its origins, in etymology, as derived from the Greek photos meaning "light" and graphos for "drawing". hence a drawing with light. It is both an art and science that is applied as a practice of creating durable images by recording light or other electromagnetic radiation, either chemically by means of a light-sensitive material such as photographic film, or electronically by means of an image sensor. Over the recent decade, the process of digitalization has evolved into the de facto standard of medium. Typically, a lens is used to focus the light reflected or emitted from objects into a real image on the light-sensitive surface inside a camera during a timed exposure involving aperture and shutter speed. The result in an electronic image sensor is an electrical charge at each pixel, which is electronically processed and stored in a digital image file for subsequent display or processing. The result in a photographic emulsion is an invisible latent image, which is later chemically developed into a visible image, either negative or positive, depending on the purpose of the photographic material and the method of processing. A negative image on film is traditionally used to photographically create a positive image on a paper base, known as a print, either by using an enlarger or by contact printing. The purpose of photography is to present the viewer with some form of interesting composition, symmetrical balance, and thematic material that is appealing to the senses, as well as a stimulant to educate, provoke, or reminisce. The pictorials can be presented in either a black & white or colour rendition. Many technical aspects can be explored involving depth of field, subject matter, tandem presentation with journalism, as well as a variety of techniques and special effects. The photographic laboratory has been replaced by electronic means and numerous dimensions of editing are possible for stunning effects. My training extends back into the film days, which still base the foundation for my approach to the creation of attractive and interesting presentation. The entire media has taken on a whole new meaning and methodology for arriving at the final result. many of my pieces have hung nationally in exhibits and galleries. The goal is to share experiences and arouse and excite the psyche with enticing thoughts of splendor and imagination.......
