please get over the low carb already, I am seeing too much of it lately. The low carbs diet has been affectionally nicknamed “the grumpy diet” for a reason. Carbs regulate mood and allow you to have healthy neurotransmitter levels. Carbohydrates are essential for mental and physiological health as well as for maximizing your exercise intensity. You absolutely need carbohydrates to fuel HARD, an-aerobic (resistance or speed) workouts. Going low carb decreases libido, disrupts mood, causes energy fluctuations and creates a mental fog. Good carbs, bad carbs? Maybe there’s some truth to that; maybe not. It’s not a bad idea to pick more complex carbs (brown rice, sweet potatoes, oats) that contain a boat load of minerals. Whatever you do, stop demonizing carbs! Lettuce and cucumber will not get you to where you want to be on the fat scale!
