pleased in weaknesses Anybody ever sign up for weakness? I dont believe I have ever said- really wish I was weaker and more at risk for being embarrassed, misunderstood, judged or thought of as less than capable... never have said that yet. In fact, Ive spent considerable time and effort trying to strengthen my weaknesses and improve my liabilities. So Paul had this weakness that would not go away. He took his concern and request to the Lord... II Corinthians 12: 8 Concerning this, I pleaded with the Lord three times to take it away from me. 9 But He said to me, My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness. Therefore, I will most gladly boast all the more about my weaknesses, so that Christs power may reside in me. 10 So because of Christ, I am pleased in weaknesses, in insults, in catastrophes, in persecutions, and in pressures. For when I am weak, then I am strong. Paul learned to take the weakness, the trials, the misconstrued reputation, and persecution and trust Jesus to use the weakness and disability for Christs glory. When grace is all you have to deal with your disability, grace is sufficient. Grace isnt given in bulk for us to store up for as needed use. Grace is provided to us everyday with new mercy to overcome and bless the Lord with our dependence upon Him. Think about His grace in your present weakness...
