IMAGE 3: MONA LISA GIO When I began this project I knew Gio was going to be my Mona Lisa. She has the most striking and beautifully dramatic facial features which were perfect for this image. Removing her eyelashes was more painful for me than her. (The original has no lashes or eyebrows) But the most difficult challenge was matching the lighting and patina of the original canvas. The model depicted in Leonardo da Vincis painting was Lisa del Gioconda! Coincidence?
