pqeventcaterer.co.uk JOHNNY Depp may not make it but Captain Jack Sparrow lookalikes are being encouraged to come along to a swashbuckling Caribbean-themed evening at the Merlin MS Centre, third in a series of summer pop-up nights. There will be suitably themed music from DJ Laurie King, decorations and a delicious meal of Caribbean chicken curry with sticky coconut rice, said community fundraiser Ruth Beadle, so get your dancing shoes out for an evening you wont forget. The pop-up nights have been a huge success. Every evening has filled the centre with fun, laughter and created an amazing atmosphere. Organisers are hoping for some good weather so the evening on Friday, September 5, can be held outside in the grounds. All the food will be provided by professional caterer Peter Quinn. Booking is essential and a vegetarian option is also available but must be pre-ordered. People need to bring their own plates, cutlery and glasses. Tickets cost £10, to include food and a drink, and can be purchased from the Merlin MS Centre by calling 01726 885530 or e-mailing [email protected] The centre is an independent Cornish charity for people affected by multiple sclerosis, and other neurological conditions. Cornwall has the highest rate of MS in England with more than 1,000 people diagnosed in the county. The centre provides expert therapies, support and advice to help users better manage their symptoms, improving health and well-being, as well as giving support to family members and loved ones.
